NAC, Binka has its historical importance for Papakhya Ghat, where all the sins have removed by taking bath in this Ghat. Besides this people around the world irrespective of caste, creed ,religion & nationality used to visit Patali Srikhetra,which is situated just at its nearby area, where Lord Jagannath was kept concealed for decade together to save the deity from attack of foreigners, so the people from different area are coming regularly to visit these places ,which justifies the urge, to make urbanize this area by declaring NAC from 1977,even if most of the people are living in slum. However it’s Total Area of NAC is 21.42 sq.km & its Population is 15,765 having 12nos. of wards.
